Arabic is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, with more than 400 million native speakers and dozens of dialects. Learn Modern Standard Arabic in the online course and add Jordanian colloquial Arabic during an intensive language J-term immersion program in Jordan. January-term Course Details

The in-country program for admitted SIT students will begin with a two-day orientation on culture and livelihood in Amman and Jordan. Continue your Arabic language studies while living with a homestay family in Amman and immersing yourself in local culture. You’ll put your language skills to use in field-based settings and go on a three-day excursion to Jesus’ baptism Site, the Dead Sea, Petra, and Wadi Rum. You will complete your midterm and final exams and final project presentation during the in-country program.

Optional July Online Course Details
