Program Description:

ICLP has been offering a rigorous summer program to Flagship students since 2012. Over the years, Flagship students who received intensive language instruction at ICLP have found their speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities to improve by at least one sub-level over the course of one summer.

Founded in 1962 to train and develop the oral discursive ability of America's academic elite, ICLP has provided instruction to many alumni who serve in academia and government over the last half century. ICLP is situated on the Main Campus of the National Taiwan University in Taipei, offering Flagship students access to the NTU Main Library, Health Center, Sports Center, and other facilities in addition to ICLP facilities.

Institutional aid can only be applied to semester-long affiliated programs, except NSE "Plan A" program participants. Tuition Waivers apply only to direct one-to-one exchange programs. All federal aid with the exception of Federal Work-Study, which does not carry overseas, will apply to any approved program regardless of URI affiliation.

URI students who will be using financial aid for their study away experience should meet with a representative in URI’s Enrollment Services - Financial Aid in Green Hall as early as possible in the study away application process. This is necessary to complete the appropriate paperwork necessary to apply the student’s financial aid package to their study away experience and obtain information about their responsibilities as a recipient of financial aid.
