Cardiff is the capital and largest city in Wales and the tenth largest city in the United Kingdom. Its rich culture has a diverse range of influences from the Romans and Normans of antiquity to the industrial revolution and the coal industry – which transformed Cardiff from a small town into a thriving, international city. Cardiff is one of the UK's most vibrant and dynamic cities with the atmosphere you would expect of a modern European metropolis. It is however also a friendly and safe city, compact and easy to walk around. Its rich culture has a diverse range of influences from the Romans and Normans of antiquity to the industrial revolution and the coal industry – which transformed Cardiff from a small town into a thriving, international city.

The climate in Cardiff is characterized by mild weather. Average temperatures in the winter months (December to February) are between 2°C and 8°C and during the summer months, (June to August) temperatures can very between 11°C and 22°C.

Cardiff is easily accessible and conveniently located. High speed inter-city trains provide frequent services between all major British cities. Cardiff's central railway station is Wales' largest and most popular station, within 2 hours reach from the heart of London and Birmingham. Frequent services also connect Cardiff with Bristol, Birmingham, Southampton, Manchester, Liverpool and with many other cities and towns. 


Students will be directly enrolled into courses at Cardiff, offering exposure and even full immersion into that country's education system. Students have the option of enrolling into a variety of subjects and academic levels.

*Note - there are enrollment restrictions for students majoring in Healthcare Sciences and Pharmacy and there is limited spaces in Psychology.

  • Students can be housed in one of 16 undergraduate residence halls that offer:

    • Single-occupancy, double-occupancy, en-suite, or studio residencies located within walking distance to campus 

    • Female-only residencies, quiet living options also available

  • Meal Options: self-catered, partial-catered or fully catered
