Program Description:

PUCVPUCV is situated as one of the most important educational institutions in Chile, with more than 14,000 students, and a faculty of excellence.

One of the most widely spoken languages in the world, fluency in Spanish is a necessity for many global engineering careers. The demand for culturally sophisticated bilingual professionals capable of functioning in our diverse global marketplace is expected to increase in the coming years, especially as the economies of Europe and Latin America expand. Even here in the United States, Spanish is spoken widely at engineering firms.

Spanish IEP / IBP students study abroad in Chile or Spain for the Fall semester of full-time studies followed by a 6-month professional internship experience in Spain or in Latin America. Students will work closely with their Spanish IEP/IBP Program Director to secure their internship placements and with the Staff of the International Center to complete their URI application requirements.
